Out! Cruel Beast!

What cruel beast lives inside me and makes me do these crazy things? Oofta... I totally need to find a job before I start tearing down walls and buiding crap I can't afford.
Want to know a little secret? The best remedy for cleaning up painted wood floors without sanding or hours of labor??? Fumeless Oven Cleaner...spray on, wait a few minutes, wipe off. It's absolutely RIDICULOUS - I spent 45 minutes to an hour on the top stair. Friend told me to go out and spend $4 on oven cleaner...I did and the last three steps were 20 minutes, tops!
Sadly, the idiot home owners from before me decided that screwing in the wood boards with deck screws was a good idea. These will have to be replaced.
Off to thrift.

My first Etsy purchase.

These were quite the rage in the 60's. They are a deep orange color with interwoven trim of black, dark brown, green and a lighter green. It's made of a heavy woven fabric with a burlap feel. They measures 35 1/2" long and 41" wide at the bottom and 24 1/2" wide at the top where the pinch pleats are. There are attached brass rings for hanging.I am listing them in found condition which appears to be freshly cleaned and pressed ( all the pleats have been pressed in place ).The only damage of any kind is fading (only) on the back side of the panels. The fading doesn't show up from the front side in any way. The fabric is heavy enough that the sun didn't fade through to the inside.Really couldn't ask for a better pair if you love the 60's kitschy look.

$24.99 + tax.

I love them, I love them, I LOVE them. Three months later and I sent the seller an email telling her that I smile each morning I walk into my kitchen. Sigh. Orange.

My kids hate me.

Carson especially loves it when he has to wear vintage.

Luke is usually game for anything. I think he, of all 6, is the most appreciative of rad clothes from days gone by.

Arley curses me in her sleep, I know she does. Especially when I post photos of her wearing vintage on FB for all her friends to see (insert evil grin).

Oh, yes. Even the baby!

See what I mean? Luke has it down. He's rock star waiting for a guitar.

I had to keep this blouse. It's neon orange and blue. I wear it everywhere. Was going to sell it on Etsy, but Arley convinced me that it is a must have - mom!

It's the chain. It makes the shirt!
